today felt good. i was busy all day. i hate being idle so it was nice to be doing things. started my day by dropping my car off to get the brakes fixed. turns out the recent rattle was just a rusted clip which they replaced for me. cost me $650 overall but i was expecting that or worse. i walked back towards goldstream and stopped for a coffee. a car stopped beside me and it was krista, the new hostess at the cafe. she had her friend and their two kids in the car. her little girl is adorable. they said hi and off they went. i forgot my ipod so i just listened to my thoughts. i was reading for a bit but i kept stumbling over rocks and miscellaneous items so i gave that up quickly. i decided to pop in to the local thrift stores and see what they were offering. i scored big time today and left with two bags stuffed full. i got a beautiful houndstooth scarf, a pair of nice low-rise, wide-legged pants, a rather elegant black wifebeater, some knee length shorts, a book for .50, some black ‘raver’ pants that i think are sweet and the two best finds of the day are so good that they get photos.

i snagged this shirt in pink/black/white which is much better than shown in the photo. note the price tag here. i paid $3.50 for it.

i love thrifting!

shannon picked me up after that and we bleached my hair. after the first application she had to take off and take jake his keys in town. she had just mixed up the second batch so i had to apply it myself since it loses effectivity after an hour or so. i did an awesome job or so she said when she got back. it itched like a motherfucker. we went to dairy queen for blizzards. i was wearing a plastic cap with a turban towel over it. needless to say, i stayed in the car. my hair is pretty yellow right now but considering how orange it was it’s pretty great. i knew i should have bought the 10/89 toner but i didn’t want to buy the wrong one. i’ll go pick it up tomorrow and do it myself and hopefully the violet will take care of the yellow. i’ll get purple shampoo as well.

tomorrow is moogans birthday and the paper cranes and the mychosen bonfire. i have no life but somehow i have three amazing events to choose between tomorrow. i want to do them all what time are you guys playing miranda (if you happen to read this before then)?
